Peter's First Epistle is very much alive in that it is a book exuding apostolic faith and speaking of the power of the Gospel. The original readers must have welcomed the teaching and exhortations of the Apostle to whom many looked as a leader in those early days, for they were precarious times.

Students of this First Epistle should find the small volume an aid to the understanding of their faith and a stimulus to the command to proclaim the gospel of grace to the world.
