The Ministry & Message of Reconciliation

We call God's creation a 'universe'-'combined into one' -implying that it has some kind of unity in itself. This is to be expected, as it has come from the God who is one within Himself-the oneness of love. The unity of the creation is not from itself. We are made for unity with God in the oneness of loving communion-in-action. This comes through God's ministry in creation and redemption, to bring us to the goal of unity with Himself that God has purposed for all things.

This ministry of God has been contested from the beginning by 'that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world'. By his inciting of us to evil deeds, there has come enmity, estrangement, fracture and disunity. This has not stopped God from pressing on to form His unified love-community, through his King who has come to reconcile and unify, to subdue enemies and break down hostility-at great cost-and so command peace.

God has now given this ministry and entrusted this message of reconciliation to us. God's work of reconciliation has been done-therefore 'Be reconciled to God!'
