A Concordance of
the Bible is essential. The three best available are Young's,
Strong's and Cruden's. Whilst these are linked with the Authorized
Version of the Bible, they can easily be used. Some modem
translations have issued their own concordances.
The version for
these studies is the New International Version (NIV). The
Revised Standard Version (RSV), the New Revised Standard
Version (NRSV), the New American Standard Bible (NASB), and
the Authorized Version (AV) may be used. Some versions
are really paraphrases and ought not to be used for study,
although they often make helpful and easy reading. |
