Across
the generations, humans have used the book of Revelation
for many purposes.
Well
may we ask the question in our day as John must have in his
day. "Amidst all that is happening in our world and
our experience, where is God in all of it?"
This
is our issue for which we will now study "revelation" for
a response. Note that as a student who is also learning
about the book of Revelation, I am not into trying to predict
future events. I do not personally feel the need as a "member
of Christ" to unlock hidden codes in order to have
some sense of "control" over my future or the
future of the human race and the planet. I am happy to
submit to the control of God through Christ. Whatever the
book will say about the future and how it will unfold,
because it is all in the hands of Christ, we need not fear!
